| The Timbers, a wooded 55 acre estate located on North Pender Island in British Columbia’s Gulf Islands, has five spacious all-season cottages which were designed with the needs of vacationing families in mind. They are all self-contained and private and, with the exception of Maple Cottage nestled in the woods with an ocean view, are all oceanfront. All of the cottages have large decks, bbqs, picnic tables and hot tubs. The rocky beach, too, is “right there” for exploration. |
| Because we aim to make our guests feel right at home, the interiorswere carefully planned for comfort and convenience. The wood and slate floors, for instance, in addition to being beautiful are fuss-free and ensure quick and easy clean-up.
Each of The Timber's cottages has been professionally decorated in a casual, country style and includes details like Persian throw rugs and murals by local artists. The murals of birds – oyster catchers and kingfisher among them -- are unique to each cottage and are representative of the avian creatures with whom we share this very special environment. |

From the plush cushions and warm throws on the rockers we have tried to think of everything you need in your home away from home. In addition to the comfy furniture, the dining/living-rooms have flat-screen colour TV with all the major satellite channels, a VCR, a stereo system with CD player, and a wood stove with wood provided to fend off the chill on a cool night. |
| The bright, cheery kitchens with fuss-free granite countertops are equipped with refrigerator and stove, microwave, dishwasher, ample counter space, and plenty of dishes, cutlery, cookware, and small appliances – everything the cook requires to provide gourmet meals away from home.
Ah, the romance of relaxing in front of the fire after a day outdoors and a splendid home-cooked dinner. |

| Many of the materials used in building the cottages were hewn, milled, or extracted from the property itself. Like the surrounding forest, they rose from the ingredients of the estate’s earth and reflect its peace and serenity.
